Willie Ruth Cowan Terry

Ms. Willie Ruth Cowan Terry, age 78, of Martin TN, died Saturday, 08/15/2015, at Jackson-Madison County Hospital.

Funeral Service will be Friday, August 21, 2015, McCabe United Methodist Church at 1:00 P.M. with Rev. Orrin Crowley officiating. Burial will follow in Barrs Chapel Cemetery in Como, Tennessee. Visitation will be Thursday, August 20, 2015, from 5:00 P.M. - 7:00 P.M. at Murphy Funeral Home. Ms. Terry's remains will be taken to McCabe United Methodist Church at 12:00 Noon on Friday and lie-in-state there until funeral time at 1:00 P.M.

Ms. Terry was a member of McCabe United Methodist Church; she formerly worked at Merritt Clothing, Martin Manfacturing Co., and U.T. Martin.

Ms. Terry is survived by four daughters, Julia Terry, Constance Terry, Yetta Terry, and Wanda Postlewaite, all of Martin TN; a son, James Monroe Terry Jr., Paducah KY; eight grandchildren and six great- grandchildren; and a sister, Rosie B. Wynn, Paris TN.

Ms. Terry was preceded in death by her former husband, James Monroe Terry, Sr., and her parents, Samuel and Lucinda Curtis Cowan; her sister, Vivian Cody; her step-son, James Lee Stubblefield, Jr.
