Funeral service will be Monday, December 8, 2008, at Murphy Funeral Home; 1:00 P.M. Burial to follow in East Side Cemetery.

Visitation will be Sunday, December 7, 2008, at Murphy Funeral Home; 4:00 P.M. - 6:00 P.M., or after 8:00 A.M. on Monday until funeral time at 1:00 P.M.

Survived by his wife, Margie Fincher Dillon of Martin

Survived by two sons, Douglas W. Dillon of St. Petersburg, Florida and Charles L. Dillon of Sharon, TN

Survived by daugher, Shelia Marie Fairless of Gainsville, Florida

Survived by three grandchildren and a friend and caregiver, Brenda Grogan of Sharon, TN

Preceded in death by parents, Charles Dillon and Goldie Suttles Dillon

Dr. Dillion was a retired teacher of biology from the University of Tennessee at Martin. He obtained his under-graduate degree from Texas Christian University and his Masters degree from William and Mary Virginia Institue of Marine Science. His doctor's degree was from the University of Southern Mississippi. He retired from the Tennessee National Guard and was a member of Eastside Baptist Church in Martin.
