Wayne Knudsen

Mr. Wayne E. Knudsen, age 92, of Union City, Tennessee died Friday, December 1, 2023, at his home.  He was born in Brayton, Iowa on August 25, 1931.  

Funeral service will be Saturday, December 9, 2023, 11:00 A.M. at Reichmuth Funeral Home in Elkhorn, Nebraska.  Visitation will be Saturday beginning at 9:00 A.M. at the funeral home until service time.  Burial will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park in Omaha, Nebraska.

Pallbearers will be Tim Knudsen, Kent Kingston, Kirk Kingston, Kraig Kingston, Stephen Knudsen and Michael Johnson.

Mr. Knudsen is survived by his wife, Emily Ryan Knudsen; daughter, Lisa (Paul) Reedy of Arvada, CO; step-daughter, Cindy (Mike) Womack of Owasso, OK; step-sons, Scott McClain and Mark (Kathy) McClain both of Union City, TN, Jeff (Kimberly) McClain of Chattanooga, TN; sister, Nadine (James) Kingston of LaVista NE; grandchildren, Tony (Becca) Reedy, Jake (Danielle) Reedy; step-grandchildren, Travis McClain, Dustin (Rachel) McClain and Sterling (Jennifer) McClain and several great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Barbara Knudsen of Roswell, GA; brother-in-law, Mike (Stephanie) Ryan of Hendersonville, TN; seven nephews and  four nieces as well as his "little girl" in a cat suit, Mitzi.

He retired from Armour Company after 35 years.  He worked for Reelfoot Packing Company from 1985 until the company closed.  He served in various offices for the Union City Civitan Club for many years and was a member of Faith Lutheran Church in Union City.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Pat Clour Knudsen;  his parents, Authur and Mable (Jorgensen) Knudsen; his brother, Gail Knudsen.
