Wayne Hawks

Mr. Wayne Moore Hawks, age 91, died Sunday, February 3, 2019, at West Tennessee Heathcare Volunteer Hospital in Martin.

Funeral service will be Wednesday, February 6, 2019, 11:00 A.M. at Murphy Funeral Home with Dr. Bob Hathcock officiating.  Burial will follow in Martin Memorial Gardens with military honors.  Visitation will be Tuesday, February 5, 2019, from 4:00 P.M. - 7:00 P.M. at Murphy Funeral Home.

Pallbearers are David Hawks, Doug Hawks, Rob Brown, Andy Brown, Sammy White and Jerry Houston.

Mr. Hawks was preceded in death by his wife, Bonnie Hawks; daughter, Barbara Jones; parents, John Madison Hawks and Golder Marie Hawks; sisters, Mozell Griffin, Butone Hawks and Hilda Hawks; brothers, Dayne, Edward, Robert, Larry and Houston Hawks.

Mr. Hawks retired from Reelfoot Packing Company and he was a member of Central Baptist Church in Martin.  He was a veteran, U.S. Army.

He is survived by his daughter, Melissa (David) Hackenwerth of Jonesboro, Arkansas; sons, Gary (Margaret) Hawks of Dresden, Mike (Kim) Hawks and Chris (Stacie) Hawks all of Martin; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
