Wade Barton

Mr Wade Barton, age 90, of 120 Ponderosa Drive, Martin TN, Died Friday 11/23/2007 at Volunteer Community Hospital.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Monday at the First United Methodist Church in Martin, with burial at Cook's Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery in Philadelphia Mississippi. Visitation will be Sunday between the hours of 3-5 at the funeral home. He will be taken to the church at 1:00 PM till service time.

Mr Barton was born in Clay County Mississippi, and was a Vetran of WWII, serving in the Army Air Corps. He formally worked with Pet Milk Co. & University Of Tennessee at Martin. He retired as Regional Director of Northwest Tennessee Regional Health Office, Union City TN. He was a graduate of Mississippi State University & University of Tennessee Martin, with a Masters Degree. He was a member of First United Methodist Church of Martin.

Mr Barton was predeeded in death by a son Cole Barton, and his parents, John Thomas & Myrtle Wade Barton.

Mr Barton is survived by his wife, Ruby Cole Barton of Martin TN; a son Tom Barton, of Schreveport, La., and four Grandchildren, and six Great Grandchildren.
