Virginia Clendenin

Mrs. Virginia Clendenin, age 95, died Thursday, November 16, 2023, at Van Ayer Nursing and Rehab Center in Martin.

Murphy Funeral Home is in charge of cremation arrangements.

Memorial Service will be Saturday, November 18, 2023, 12:00 Noon at the First United Methodist Church with Pastor Amanda Crice and Rev. Randy Cooper officiating.  Visitation will be Saturday morning at the church beginning at 11:00 A.M. until service time at noon.

Mrs. Clendenin was preceded in death by her husband, D.L. Clendenin; her children, Paul Clendenin, Patsy Clendenin and Baby Boy Clendenin; her parents, Glen Clement and Mary Farmer Clement; siblings, Theresa Veazey, Catherine Pafford, Edward Clement and June Rawls.

She retired from teaching elementary school for the Paris School District.  She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Martin.

She is survived by her daughter, Glenda (Walter) Nanney; her sister, Anne Smith of Piperton, TN; three grandchildren, Carrie Hester, Paul Nanney and Jessica Reed; three great-grandchildren, Karen Hester, Tyler Steele and Parker Nanney.
