Verna Walker

Mrs. Verna Mae Cavin Walker, age 93, of Martin died Thursday, March 19, 2015, at her residence.

Funeral Service will be Saturday, March 21, 2015, at Martin Church of Christ, 1:00 P.M. Burial will follow in Hatler's Chapel Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday, March 20, 2015, at Martin Church of Christ from 4:00 P.M. - 7:00 P.M., or after 11:00 A.M. on Saturday at the church.

Mrs. Walker is survived by her husband of 69 years, T Joe Walker; her daughters, Sylvia (Jamie) Kemp and Shelia (Mike) Thompson all of Martin; six grandchildren, Randy (Ginger) Kemp, Candie (Rick) McGinnis, Debra Cash, Michael (Michelle) Thompson, Brad (Kammie) Thompson, Christel (Chris) Laney; 19 great-grandchildren and two great great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Walker retired from Martin Manufacturing Company and she was a member of Martin Church of Christ.

Mrs. Walker was preceded in death by her parents, Allen Cavin and Zonie Penich Cavin; brothers, Elvis Cavin and Wayne Cavin; her sister, Faye Elder; her grandson, Joey Guest; two great great-grandchildren, Parker Thompson and Matthew Lee Laney.
