Mr. Van R. Chandler, Sr.,83, died Sunday at Martin Health Care in Martin.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM Wednesday, 08/26/2009, at Murphy Funeral Home, with burial to follow at East Side Cemetery, Martin TN. Visitation will be at the funeral home Tuesday,08/25/2009, between 5:00 PM and 7:00 PM.
Mr. Chandler is survived by his wife, Charlene Thedford Chandler of Martin; sons, Van R. Chandler, Jr. of Martin, and Rick Chandler of Dresden; grandchildren, Chris, Holly and Jon Chandler; great-grandchild, Addison Olivia Chandler. He was preceded in death by parents, Johnny O. Chandler and Minnie Holly Chandler.
Mr. Chandler was retired from Argo Collier and Martin Housing Authority. He was a graduate of Dresden High School and a member of Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Martin.
