Thomas (Tommy) Wade Carr

Mr. Thomas Wade (Tommy) Carr, age 74, of Martin, TN, died Friday, 08/27/2021, at Diversicare.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, 09/01/2021, at 1:00 PM at Murphy Funeral Home with Rev. Scott Penick and Rev. Thurman Neil Penick officiating.  Private burial services will follow.  Visitation will be Wednesday at the funeral home beginning at 11:00 A.M. until funeral time at 1:00.

Mr. Carr was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church; he was proud to serve his country in the U.S. Navy, where he played football and was a European All Star.  Tommy was an avid U T Football fan and enjoyed attending games at Neyland Stadium. He was retired from Goodyear Tire of Union City, TN. 

Mr. Carr was preceded in death by his parents, Dan Carr and Betty Freeman Donoho; a stepson, Christopher Ross; and a brother, Lanny Carr.

Mr, Carr is survived by his wife, Peggy Herron Carr, Martin, TN; his sons, Alan D. Carr, Martin, TN, and Patrick Carr, Knoxville, TN; three grandchildren, X-avier Carr, Savanah Carr, Anhaliese Carr; and a brother, Dr. Kenneth (Beverly) Carr, Martin TN.
