Thomas L. Seratt, Sr.

Mr. Thomas L. Seratt, Sr., age 87, died Tuesday, May 9, 2017, at Diversicare of Martin.

Funeral Service will be Friday, May 12, 2017, 11:00 A.M. at Bible Union Baptist Church with Rev. Terry Griffin and Rev. Keith Sumner officiating. Burial will follow in Bible Union Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday, May 11, 2017, from 5:00 P.M. - 8:00 P.M. at Murphy Funeral Home, or after 10:00 A.M. Friday at the church until funeral time.

Mr. Seratt is survived by his wife, Iris Marie Autry Seratt of Martin; two sons, Thomas L. (Sarae) Seratt, II of Martin and Charles Bryant (Wanda) Seratt of South Fulton, TN; two sisters, Janie Seratt Alford of Dyersburg, TN and Willie Bett Baize of Munford, TN; four grandchildren, Tommy (Meagan) Seratt of Martin, Chuck (Becca) Seratt of Henderson, TN, Bethany (Michael) Carter of South Fulton, TN and Anna (Gaven) Hollandsworth of Martin; three great-grandchildren, Ella Claire Hollandsworth, Jaxon Thomas Carter and Luke Thomas Seratt.

Mr. Seratt formerly owned and operated Otasco's in Martin. He was a veteran, U.S. Army, and a member of Bible Union Baptist Church in Martin.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Will Seratt and Hattie Blair Seratt; sisters, Mildred Loesch and Carolyn Pate; brothers, Daryl Seratt, Leon Seratt, William Seratt and Robert Seratt.
