Ted Coates

Mr. Ted M. Coates, age 77, of Martin died Wednesday, June 13, 2012, at his residence.

Funeral service will Friday, June 15, 2011, at 2:00 P.M. at Murphy Funeral Home. Burial will follow in East Side Cemetery. Visitation will begin on Friday at 11:00 A.M., three hours prior to service at 2:00 P.M.

Mr. Coates is survived by his wife, Patsy Winstead Coates of Martin; sons, Jeff (Lana) Coates and David (Pam) Coates both of Martin; his mother, Eunice Gardner Coates of Martin, sister, Carolyn (William) Crouch of Union City; three grandchildren, Lindsey (Will) Hollowell, Logan Coates and Landon Coates; one great-grandchild, Callie Hollowell.

He was preceded in death by his father, H.W. Coates, and grandson, Jacob Coates.

Mr. Coates was a retired farmer, a graduate of Martin High School and a member of First United Methodist Church in Martin.
