Stevie Owens

Mr. Stevie Leon Owens, age 53, died Sunday, December 22, 2019, at his residence in Martin.

Memorial Service and Celebration of Life will be Monday, December 30, 2019, 1:00 P.M. at Oak Grove Missionary Baptist Church in Martin with Pastor Jackie Thomas.

Mr. Owens is survived by his children, Whitney Owens and Sidney Owens both of Martin, Steven Owens and Stephon Owens both of New York, Angel Peoples and Josh Peoples both of Jackson, TN, Michael Peoples of Milan, TN; his siblings, Marilyn Evans of Martin, Wanda Owens Neal of Louisville, KY, Tammy Owens,  Wardell Owens Jr. of Tacoma, WA, James Owens of Martin; six grandchildren, Ka'Brein Owens, Isiah Clark, Malachi Peoples, Obdiah Peoples, Olivia Peoples and Jocelyn Peoples

Mr. Owens retired from Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company.  He was a 1984 graduate of Westview High School and a member of Oak Grove Missionary Baptist Church in Martin.  Stevie was a veteran; U.S. Army.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Lessie Marie Clark Owens; his parents, Wardell Owens, Sr. and Claudetta Gwen Smith; step-father, Bob Smith; brother, Tommy Douglas Willoughby.
