Steve Cunningham

Mr. Shirley Stephens "Steve" Cunningham, age 84, of Martin died Saturday, July 8, 2023, at West Tennessee Volunteer Hospital.

Murphy Funeral Home is in charge of the cremation arrangements.

Mr. Cunningham is survived by his daughter, Tammy Damron of Paris, TN; four grandchildren, Natasha Ellison, Travis Davidson, Westley Davidson and Samantha Fourman; one sister, Patricia Parnell of Martin; one brother, Bertrand Cunningham and six great-grandchildren.

He was retired but formerly worked as a deputy for the Lake County Sherriff's Department.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Louise Ivy; his parents, James Paul Cunningham and Linnie Stephens Cunningham; brothers, Leonard "Red" Cunningham, Lew Cunningham, Joseph Paul Cunningham, Omar Cunningham and Cheak Roseman Cunningham'; sisters, Littley Irene McCurdy and Evelyn Sharon.

As he would say daily, “Have a good day and an even better tomorrow “.
