He was a retired supervisor for the Department of Children's Services in Dresden and was a faithful member of the Martin Church of Christ.

Stan had a humble servant's heart.  He spent many hours helping those in need, including driving others to doctors' appointments and stepping in as dad, brother and friend anytime he saw a need.  He spent his career helping children, always looking for opportunities to improve the lives of children including volunteering with the Weakley County Backpack Program and singing to and visiting with patients at St Jude and Le Bonheur Children's Hospitals.

Stan spent his entire life owning and loving animals.  All of his pets and his grandpets brought him so much joy and happiness and he passed that love on to so many family and friends.

Stan also was a member of the David Johnson Chorus for 19 years.  He loved singing, being with his chorus family and sharing his love of music with others.

Stan loved nothing more in this world than his family.  Stan was married to the love of his life, Didi, for 47 years.  He was adored by his two daughters who will miss him dearly.  Stan's greatest joy in his life was his grandchildren and he was most proud to be their Shanny.  He showered them with love and hugs every possibly chance he could and they will carry him in their hearts forever.

Stan left this world with many friends and loved ones who await the day they will see him again.

Memorials requested to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or Le Bonheur Children's Hospital.
