Shirley Morrison

Mrs. Shirley Jean Morrison, age 82, died Wednesday, September 26, 2018, at her residence.

Funeral service will be Saturday, September 29, 2018, 1:00 P.M. at Murphy Funeral Home with Rev. Keith Sumner officiating.  Burial will follow in Sandy Branch Cemetery.  Visitation will begin at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday until funeral time at 1:00.

Mrs. Morrison is survived by her husband, Billy Brown Morrison of Martin; her daughter, Billie (Terry) Kirk of Hornbeak, TN; half-sister, Brenda Christmas of Kentucky; three grandchildren, Thomas (Alisse) Kirk of Martin, Kelly (Robert) Liedtke of Newport News, VA and Matthew (Rachel) Morrison of Louisville, KY;  seven great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Morrison was a homemaker and a member of Bible Union Baptist Church in Martin.  She was a member of the Bob Reavis Chapter 71 of the Eastern Star and a member of the Woodman of the World Life Insurance Society.  She was a graduate of Dresden High School.

She was preceded by her parents, Jesse Neal and Mozelle Hopkins Clinard; her step-mother, Helen Clinard; great-grandparents, Hiram David and Fannie Clinard; half-sister, Patricia Sullivan.
