Sara Adams Simmons

Mrs. Sara Adams Simmons, age 94, died Wednesday, December 6, 2017, at Weakley County Nursing and Rehab Center in Dresden.

Funeral Service will be Friday, December 8, 2017, 1:00 P.M. at Murphy Funeral Home with Rev. Kerry Shopher officiating. Burial will follow in East Side Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday beginning at 11:00 A.M. until funeral time at 1:00.

Pallbearers will be Clay Simmons, Kirk Simmons, Grant Simmons, Bobby Taylor, Rick Campbell and Jamie Pettit.

Mrs. Simmons was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Simmons; her parents, Will Adams and Lucille Atkins Adams.

Mrs. Simmons was a retired teacher at Dresden Elementary School. She was the oldest member at Ralston Baptist Church where she was the pianist for many years.

She is survived by her two sons, Tommy (Nancy) Simmons and Denny ( Sherry) Simmons both of Martin; five grandchildren, Grant Simmons, Whitney Coleman, Stacie Simmons, Clay Simmons and Kirk Simmons; seven great-grandchildren.
