Samuel Joseph "Joe" Fuqua

Mr. Samuel Joseph "Joe" Fuqua, age 94, of Martin, TN, died Friday, 05/27/2022, at Diversicare Nursing Home, Martin, TN.

Funeral services will be at 1:00 PM Tuesday, 05/31/2022, at First Baptist Church, Martin,TN, with Rev. Mike Sams officiating, with full military honors to follow at East Side Cemetery, Martin, TN.  Visitation will be at the church from 11:00 AM until service time on Tuesday.

Serving as pallbearers will be Tim Fuqua, Joey Fuqua, Austin Fuqua, and Ashton Fuqua.

Mr. Fuqua was a member of First Baptist Church, Martin, TN; he was a WWII Navy veteran and was retired from the Tennessee National Guard; he was a graduate of Martin High School.

Mr. Fuqua was preceded in death by a brother, Eddie Fuqua, and his parents, Archie and Pearl Smith Fuqua.

Mr. Fuqua is survived by his wife, Thelma Ruth Franklin Fuqua, Martin, TN; his son, Tim (Donna) Fuqua, Murfreesboro, TN; a grandson, Joey (Beth) Fuqua, Martin, TN; four great grandchildren, Austin, Averie, Ashton, and Anniston Fuqua; and a brother, Richard (Barbara) Fuqua, Martin, TN.
