Sam Hobbs

Mr. Samuel Lynn Hobbs, Sr., age 76,  died Friday, January 25, 2019, at West Tennessee Healthcare Volunteer Hospital in Martin.

Memorial Service and Celebration of Life will be Thursday, January 31, 2019, 2:00 P.M. at Murphy Funeral Home with Dr. Mike Sams officiating.  Visitation with the family will begin at 12:00 Noon on Thursday until service time.

Mr. Hobbs is survived by his wife of 53 years, Janet Arlene Tarrant Hobbs of Martin; daughters, Dawn (Roy Kevin) Cates of Martin and Robin (Joey) Taylor of Ripley, TN; son, Samuel Lynn Hobbs, Jr. of Ann Arbor, MI; sisters, Sandra Dexter of Martin and Beverly Domschot of Jackson, MI; brothers, Arnie Hobbs and Nicky Hobbs both of Jackson, MI; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Mr. Hobbs retired from Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company.  He was a veteran, United State Air Force.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Samuel T. Hobbs and Jannette Hart Hobbs.
