Ruth Wells Smith

Mrs. Ruth Wells Smith, age 92, of the Gardner Community, died Saturday, August 8, 2020, at her home.

Funeral service for family will be Friday, August 14, 2020, at Gardner Church of Christ in Martin with a Graveside service for friends and family in the Gardner cemetery at 6:45.

Pallbearers will be Joe Smith, Chris Kelly, Herman Smith, Paul Perry, Carson Perry, Collin Smith, Spencer Smith and Nathan Bradford.  Honorary Pallbearers will be The Men at Gardner Church of Christ.

Mrs. Smith was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Smith; her daughter, Judy Roberts; her brothers, Gerald M., William Dale and Robert W. Campbell; her parents, Guy A. and Bernice Wells Campbell.  She was known to the family as "Mimi" and a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and a faithful member of Gardner Church of Christ.

Mrs. Smith is survived by her son, David Smith; her grandchildren, Lori Roberts Perry, Jason Roberts, Spencer Smith and Collin Smith; her great-grandchildren, Carson Perry, Payton Perry, Hallie Perry, Addie Roberts and Avery Roberts; her sisters, Mary Campbell Wright, Bernice Jean Campbell Mathis, Norma Campbell Jackson and Joyce Campbell Perkins.

In lieu of flowers and plants Memorials requested to the Gardner Church of Christ Bible and Mission Works Fund in memory of Ruth Smith.
