Ruth Donaldson Glissen

Mrs. Ruth Donaldson Glissen, age 80, of Martin died Saturday, April 30, 2016, at her residence.

Funeral Service will 1:00 P.M. on Tuesday, May 3, 2016, at Murphy Funeral Home with Dr. Mike Sams officiating. Burial will follow in Martin Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be 5:00 P.M. -8:00 P.M. on Monday, May 2, 2016, at the funeral home.

Mrs. Glissen was preceded in death by her husbands, Hermon Bob Donaldson and Charles David Glissen; her daughter, Rita Carol Donaldson, her parents, E.A. (Buck) Davis and Eura Hay Davis; one brother, Elbert Davis; one sister, Peggy Stanfill.

Mrs. Glissen formerly worked at Merritt Clothing Company and Volunteer General Hospital. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Martin.

She is survived by her children all of Martin, Debbie (Howard) Anderson, Roger (Julie) Donaldson and Ralph (Jerri) Donaldson; one brother, Dewey Davis of Dresden; one step-son, Dean (Misty) Glissen of McKenzie, TN; ten grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
