Roger Wilkes, Sr.

Mr. Roger E. Wilkes, Sr., age 74, of Columbia, TN,  formerly of Huntingdon, TN, died Monday, December 16, 2019, at Maury Regional Hospital in Columbia.

Funeral service will be Friday, December 20, 2019, 1:00 P.M. at Murphy Funeral Home with Father David Orsak officiating.  Burial will follow in East Side Cemetery.  Visitation will be Friday, December 20, 2019, beginning at 11:00 A.M. until service time at 1:00.

Mr. Wilkes is survived by his wife of 56 years, Vittoria Raspa Wilkes of Columbia; his son, Roger E. (Tammy) Wilkes, Jr. of Helena, AL; his daughter, Michelle Wilkes of Spring Hill, TN; two brothers, Bendell (Nancy) Wilkes of Spring Hill, TN and Ronald (Ann) Wilkes of Jackson, TN; one granddaughter, Breanna Wilkes; one great-grandson, Landen Cash.  He is survived by many nieces and nephews.

Mr. Wilkes retired from Fed EX.  He attended The University of Tennessee at Martin and graduated from Memphis State University.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Bennie Lee Wilkes and Alma Rainey Wilkes; one sister, Betty Love Wilkes.
