Robertine Vowell

Mrs. Robertine "Tine" Vowell, age 96, of Martin died Saturday, August 28, 2021, Community Hospice in Ft. Worth, Texas.

Funeral service will be Saturday, September 4, 2021, 11:00 A.M. at Murphy Funeral Home with Rev. Amanda Crice officiating.  Burial will follow in East Side Cemetery.  Visitation will be Saturday beginning at 10:00 A.M. until funeral time at 11:00.

Pallbearers are Lee Pritchett, Dr. Mike Hinds, Kenny Edwards, Jim Cannon and Tom Gallien.  Honorary Pallbearers are members of the Bob Carroll Sunday School Class.

Mrs. Vowell is survived by her daughter, Sandy (Bob) Lanier of Ft. Worth, Texas; two grandchildren, Kelly Suzanne (Buddy) Tierce of Ft. Worth and Dustin (Ryan) Lanier of Austin, Texas; five great-grandchildren, Colin Lanier, Matlye Tierce, Colby Lanier, Dillon Lanier and Luke Tierce.

She was a homemaker and a former court reporter at the Weakley County Courthouse.  She was a member of Fine Arts and a graduate of the Martin Police Academy.  Tine was an avid bridge player and a member of the First United Methodist Church in Martin.

Mrs. Vowell was preceded in death by her husband, Fred C. Vowell; her daughter, Cathy Lynn Vowell Goodwin; her parents, Robert Lee Winston and Agnes Marie Melton Winston; sister, Juanita Brownlee; brother, Billy Winston.
