Robert Lynn Mixon

Robert Lynn (Bob) Mixon, of Chicago, IL, Died Friday, May 13, 2016. Bob was born August 27, 1935, in Sharon, TN. He graduated from Sharon High School in 1954 and married Bettye High in 1958. Bob lived most of his adult life in Chicago, and was a great fan of Chicago Cubs baseball. He was employed by Bell and Howell Company, in Lincolnwood, IL, for 40 years. He recently moved to Chandler, AZ. Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Waurine Elizabeth (Simpson) and Roger Newton Mixon; an infant daughter, Susan Lynn; his brother, Charles Mixon; and nephew Scott Mixon. He is survived by his daughters, Dr. Constance Anne Mixon (Walter Braunschweig), of Chicago, IL, and Dina Michelle Mixon Zolin (Kevin O'Brien) of Chandler, AZ; his grandson, Ryan David Zolin, of Chandler, AZ; and his sister, Janice Mixon McDaniel, of Martin, TN. He was a loving uncle to Charletta Mixon Darling, Christopher McDaniel (Elizabeth), Chad McDaniel(Jennifer), and Candace Porter (Andrew). Visitation will be from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM on Thursday, May 19, 2016 at Murphy Funeral Home, Martin, TN, with funeral services at 11:00 AM. Interment will be at Woodlawn Cemetery, Sharon, TN.
