Robert B. Miles

Mr. Robert Burnett Miles, age 89, died at home in Martin on July 17, 2013.

Funeral service will be Saturday, July 20, 2013, at 11:00 A.M. at Murphy Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Tansil Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 10:00 A.M. on Saturday, one hour prior to service at 11:00 A.M.

Mr. Miles was a retired teamster. Member of Welcome Hill Baptist Church in Lemont, Il. An amateur radio operator, call sign W4YAD.

Mr. Miles is survived by a son, Robert E. (Rosemarie) Miles both of Martin, two grandchildren, Robert A. Miles (Dawn) of Ocala, FL, and Faith Carrillo (Pablo) of Chattanooga, TN; three great-grandchildren, April Carrillo, Estevan Carrillo, and Krystina Miles; one sister, Mary Almeta Exum Cole of Martin, TN, and numerous neices and nephews who adored him.

Mr. Miles was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Kathleen Wainscott; his brothers, Roland Venoy, Thomas R., Arthur Brooks, Coy Lee; his sister, Alice Earline, and his parents, Robert and Gertie Louise Brooks Miles.
