Richard Andrew "Drew" Maloan, Jr.

Mr. Richard Andrew "Drew" Maloan, Jr. died Wednesday, August 18, 2010, at Jackson Madison County Hospital in Jackson, TN.

Funeral services will be Saturday, August 21, 2010, at the First United Methodist Church in Martin; 2:00 P.M. Burial to follow in East Side Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday beginning at 10:00 A.M. until 12:00 Noon at Murphy Funeral Home, or after 1:00 P.M. at the church until funeral time at 2:00 P.M.

Mr. Maloan is survived by his wife, Beth Bigger Maloan of Jackson, his daughter, Michelle (Dale) Starr of Pittsburg, PA; his father, Richard A. Maloan, Sr. of Martin; brothers, Mike (Sharon) Maloan of Martin and Steve (Elizabeth) Maloan of Jackson, TN; step-daughter, Alice (David) Young of Baton Rouge, LA; two grandchildren, Kalee and Madison Starr of Pittsburg, PA.

Mr. Maloan was preceded in death by his mother, Faye Ella Bishop Maloan.

Mr. Maloan was a 30 year employee of the U.S. Postal Service in Jackson, TN. He was a graduate of Martin High School and The University of Tennessee at Martin. He was a veteran, U.S. Army-Vietnam.
