Rev. John Earl Hazelwood, age 76, of Martin died Thursday at Volunteer Community Hospital. Funeral services will be Monday, December 28, 2009, at Murphy Funeral Home; 2:00 P.M. Burial to follow in Sandy Branch Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday, December 27, 2009, at the funeral home; 4:00 P.M. - 8:00 P.M.
Rev. Hazelwood is survived by his wife, Judy Morrison Hazelwood of Martin; son, John Dennis (Tracey) Hazelwood of Martin; daughters Shelia (Michael) Bell of Martin and Trenia (Charlie) Reagan of Milan, TN; brother, Charles Hazlewood of Martin, sister, Virginia Wells of Martin; eight grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and three step-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by parents, Austin Crockett Hazlewood and Loreen Bunton Hazlewood; brothers, George Hazlewood, Virgil Hazlewood, William Dean Hazlewood; sister, Gennella Buchanan.
Rev. Hazelwood was a minister at Main Street Baptist Church in Martin.
