Rev. Billy Gene Swanson, age 87, of Sharon Road, Sharon, TN, died Saturday, 10/01/2016, at Tennova Healthcare Volunteer Hospital, Martin, Tennessee.
Memorial Service and Celebration of Life will be Sunday, October 23, 2016, 3:00 P.M. at New Salem Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Sharon with Rev. Sam Swanson and Rev. Allen Barger officiating. Family and friends assemble at 2:30 P.M. at the church.
Rev. Swanson was a retired Pentecostal Church of God minister; he was a member of the River of Life Church of God.
Rev. Swanson is survived by his wife, Shirley Lorrine Moen Swanson of Sharon, TN; a daughter, Debbie (Allen) Barger, Glendale, AZ; a son, Rev. Sam (Sarah) Swanson, Sharon, TN; three sisters, Lila Wiggins, Modesto, CA; Mary Vanderburg and Wanda Swan, both of Sacramento, CA; five grandchildren, and five great grandchildren.
Rev. Swanson was preceded in death by his parents, John Harvey and Clara Husband Swanson.
