Mr. Grady Ray Capps, Sr., age 74, died Tuesday, June 13, 2017, at his residence.
Funeral Service will be Friday, June 16, 2017, 11:00 A.M. at Murphy Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Gardner Cemetery near Martin. Visitation will be Thursday, June 15, 2017, from 4:00 P.M. - 7:00 P.M. at Murphy Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Bryan Campbell, Bob Bell, Gary Capps, Britt Barkley, Perry Burnett and Waldrop Dowdy.
Mr. Capps is survived by his wife, Pat Calhoun Capps they lived in the Terrell Community for 46 years; his daughter, Jennie Beth (Mark) Campbell of Martin; his sons, Grady Ray (Jerri Ann) Capps of Bossier City, LA and Kerry (Martha) Winstead of Oakland, TN; sister, Doris Schneider of Martin; two brothers, Don (Betty) Capps of Martin and Kenneth (Sherry) Capps of Union City, TN; eight grandchildren, Kristen Plunk, Brooke Marr, Hunter and Rebecca Winstead, Casey, Corey, Dillon and Drew Campbell; three great-grandchildren, Kaedence, Mikah and Alaina.
Mr. Capps owned and operated Capps Construction Company. He was a 1960 graduate of Martin High School and a member of First United Methodist Church in Union City.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Grady B. Capps and Learline Green Capps.
Memorials requested to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
