Funeral service will be Saturday, January 24, 2009, at Murphy Funeral Home; 1:00 p.m. Visitation will be Friday, January 23, 2009, at the funeral home; 4:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.
Burial will be in East Side Cemetery in Martin.
Preceded in death by his wife, Mary Ruth Duncan Rogers
Preceded in death by his son, Steven Estes Rogers
Preceded in death by his parents, Estes Rogers and Essie Nix Rogers
Survived by two grandchildren, Lauren Rogers of Knoxville and Jon Rogers of Rutherford, TN
Mr. Rogers was a former principal of Sharon High School. He taught at Martin High School and retired as Martin Post Master. WW II U. S. Army Air Corps
