Ralph Dolen Wilson, II, at the age of 75, passed away on December 4, 2022 in San Antonio, Texas. He was born at Fort Monroe, Virginia on June 27, 1947.
Ralph graduated from Norman High School in Norman, Oklahoma. He graduated from the University of Oklahoma in 1965 with a degree in mathematics. During his time at OU, he worked at the National Weather Center.
After graduating, Ralph worked at OU's medical center in Oklahoma City. He moved to Memphis, Tennessee in 1982. He joined Christ United Methodist Church and was active in the Singles group where he met his wife, Amy.
Ralph and Amy moved to San Antonio, TX in 1997, where he worked at various companies doing computer programming and retired as an independent consultant in 2015. While in San Antonio, Ralph was an active member of University United Methodist Church. He served as an usher, was a member of the Centennial Sunday school class, sang in the choir and helped with several missions to Guatemala. He and Amy loved to travel both abroad and in the United States.
Ralph was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph Dolen Wilson and Lillie Augusta Hermon Wilson, who were married for 72 years.
He is survived by his much-loved wife of 31 years, Amy Cecelia Harrison Wilson, his daughter, Amy Rebecca Wilson Young (Stacy Young), his granddaughter, Victoria Taylor Young, and his sister Susan Lee Wilson Owen. He was "Uncle Ralph" to a niece and nephew and three grand nephews and "Gralph" to his blended family in San Antonio.
A graveside service will be at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 14, 2023 at East Side Cemetery in Martin, Tennessee with Pastor Amanda Crice officiating.
