Mr. P.L. Summers, age 91, died Sunday, October 13, 2013, at Hillview Community Living Center.
Graveside service will be Saturday, October 19, 2013, at East Side Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday at the funeral home beginning at 10:00 A.M., one hour prior to graveside service.
Mr. Summers was preceded by his wife, Mary Ruth Peery Summers; parents, Quinton Summers and Eddie Wyatt Summers. He is survived by his son, Randy (Deborah) Summers of Grapevine, Texas; his daughter, Brenda (Donnie) McWherter of Martin; four grandchildren, Kevin McWherter, Christy (Chip) Russell, Cory (Selina) Summers and Chad Summers; two great-grandchildren, Tyler and Brayden Russell.
Mr. Summers was the former manager of General Telephone Company in Martin. He was U.S. Army WW II veteran and a member of First Baptist Church in Martin.
