Peggy Wilkey

Mrs. Peggy Goff Wilkey, age 81, of Martin passed away in her home due to a lengthy illness on Wednesday, October 9, 2024.

Graveside service will be Saturday, October 12, 2024,  11:00 A.M. in East Side Cemetery with Rev. Alex Gallien officiating.  Family and friends may assemble in the cemetery at 10:45.

She was born in Kenton, TN to the late Roma and Mary Jane Bryant Goff.  She graduated from Kenton High School.  She was an avid basketball player and was awarded Basketball Homecoming Queen her senior year.  She was of the Baptist faith.  Peggy was a homemaker and loved to care for her grandchildren and great-nephew.

Peggy leaves behind her husband of 62 years, Don Wilkey; a son, Donnie Wilkey of Dresden; daughter, Sheryl Orr of Martin, along with grandsons Nicholas Wilkey and Stevie Ray (Morgan) Orr and granddaughter Katlyn Orr as well as great-granddaughter Cambri Wilkey and great-grandson Gibson Orr.  Peggy also leaves  multiple nieces, nephews, along with great-nieces and nephews.

Peggy was preceded in death by her siblings, Susie Simmons, Howard "Sonny" Goff, Jerry Goff, Jimmy Goff, Brenda Easterwood and her twin sister, Linda Adams.  Along with nieces and nephews, Debbie Stepp, Deanna Duke, Danny Goff, Jerry Goff and Tracy Goff.

Peggy will be greatly missed but the love she shared will continue to live in our memories and hearts forever.
