Mrs. Peggy Wood Truitt, age 83, died Tuesday, July 2, 2013, at Volunteer Community Hospital in Martin.
Graveside service will be Thursday, July 4, 2013, at East Side Cemetery at 11:00 A.M. Friends may assemble at the cemetery at 10:45 A.M. There will be no public visitation at the funeral home.
Mrs. Truitt was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Sanford M. Truitt. She is survived by her son, Mark Truitt of Ashland City, TN; two daughters, Teresa (Melvin) Weidner of Buchanan, TN and Kami (Mark) Carson of Pleasantview, TN; one grandson, Cameron Truitt Carson; one sister, Martha Kizer of Opaka, Florida.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Estol Wood and Essie Pickard Wood.
Mrs. Truitt was a homemaker and a member of the First United Methodist Church in Martin.
