Norma Schiavone

Mrs. Norma Phillips Smith Schiavone, age 84, of Buchanan, TN died Wednesday, June 17, 2015, at her home.

Funeral Service will be Saturday, June 20, 2015, at Point Pleasant Baptist Church in Buchanan, TN; 2:00 P.M. Visitation at the church will begin at 12:00 Noon. On Monday, June 22, 2015, a visitation with the family will held in the Rotunda at Memorial Park Funeral Home in Memphis, TN beginning at 12:00 Noon. A prayer service will held at 1:00 P.M. with entombment to follow.

Mrs. Schiavone was preceded in death by her husband, Anthony J. (Tony) Schiavone; her parents, Marvin Denzel Phillips and Birdie Marie Anderson Phillips; her sister, Alma Phillips Ford; her son-in-law, Eugene Shackleford. She is survived by her children, Anne Shackleford and Ken Smith both of Southaven, MS and Brent (Kim) Smith of Buchanan, TN; her step-sons, Richard (Ruthie) Schiavone of Pulaski, TN, Victor (Tina) Schiavone of Ardmore, AL and Tony (Rita) Schiavone, Jr. of Ft. Worth, TX; her brother and sister-in-law, Marvin and Ja'nice Phillips of Eads, TN; her brother-in-law, Billy E. Ford of Martin; nine granddaughters, Meredith Shackleford, Meagan (Ryan) Paris, Nicki Jackson, Erica (Brian) Ward, Rachel (Ethan) Hawkins, Amber (Josh) Fleming, Kandace (Clayton) Buechler, Karli Smith and Kayla Macias; seven step-grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. She is survived by many nieces and nephews that loved and adored their Aunt Norma.

Mrs. Schiavone retired after 30 years plus as Human Resource Director of Semmes Murphey Clinic in Memphis. After retirement she and her children opened and operated the Subway at Paris Landing. She was a member of Point Pleasant Baptist Church in Buchanan, TN.
