Mrs. Winnie Futrell Kirkland

Mrs. Winnie Hayes Futrell Kirkland, age 94, died Saturday, June 14, 2014, at Volunteer Community Hospital in Martin.

Funeral service will be Tuesday, June 17, 2014, at the Martin Church of Christ; 11:00 A.M. Burial will follow in East Side Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 9:00 A.M. Tuesday at the church until funeral time at 11:00 A.M.

Mrs. Kirkland was preceded in death by her husbands, Mac Futrell, Sr. and Hayden Kirkland; her son, Mac Futrell, Jr.; her parents, Edward Hayes and Fannie Webb Hayes; four brothers, Edward Hayes, Lindsay Hayes, Wilson Hayes, Webb Hayes; one sister, Carrie Neal Hall. She is survived by two daughters, Patty (David) Murphy and Penny (Jack) Holecz both of Martin; two step-sons, Robert (Jenny) Kirkland of Union City, TN and Dr. Ron (Carol) Kirkland of Jackson, TN; 14 grandchildren, Darrell (Jeannie) Watson, Chris (Tiffany) Watson, Lindsay (Thor) Melson, Jake (Sherree) Watson, Whitney Holecz, Tristan Holecz, Jennifer (Richard) Gaw, Ginger (Sammy) Liles, Dave Murphy, Jr., Jim Futrell, Kirk Futrell, Kimberlee Fritz, Kate Lemeaux, Jon Holecz; 17 great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Kirkland formerly owned Ben Franklin Store and Kirkland's Antiques and Gifts both in Martin. She was a member of Martin Church of Christ.
