Mrs. Sandra Robbins

Mrs. Sandra Brundige Robbins, age 77, passed away Tuesday, January 16, 2018, at Vanderbilt Hospital in Nashville.

Funeral service will be Saturday, January 20, 2018, 2:00 P.M. at Central Baptist Church with Rev. Kylan Mann officiating. Burial will follow in East Side Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday from 10:00 A.M. - 2:00 P.M. at Central Baptist Church.

Pallbearers to serve are Kendall Rezabek, Mickey Hicks, John Nonemaker, Jay Nonemaker, Jay Batson, Bill Brundige, Johnny Brundige and David Moore. Honorary Pallbearers are Andrew Hart, Charles McWherter, Donnie McWherter, Woody Brundige, Joe Brundige, Robert Brundige, Tommy Brundige and Keath Turner.

Mrs. Robbins is survived by her husband of 58 years, Mr. Guy Robbins of Martin; her children, Kristi (Kendall) Rezabek of Jackson, TN, Marti (John) Nonemaker of San Antonio, TX, Stacey (Mickey) Hicks and Scott (Shelley) Robbins both of Martin; her sisters, Pam Brundige of Mobile, AL and Fran Spears of Martin; her brother, Randy (Sandy) Brundige of Martin; five grandchildren, Jay Nonemaker, Katie Bottorff, Megan Nonemaker, Sydney Robbins and Kylie Rezabek. Sandra leaves behind loving nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Robbins was retired from teaching after 19 years and a retired principal after 17 years. She taught music in the school system for many years. She was a faithful member of Central Baptist Church where she played the organ and piano and served on many committees for the church. Sandra taught Sunday School for senior women. She was an award winning author of 34 published books.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. H.C. "Ham" Brundige and Mrs. Maidelle Turner Brundige.
