Mrs. Gerrie Cavin

Mrs. Geraldine Catherine Cavin, age 94, died Thursday, May 10, 2018, at Diversicare in Martin.

Funeral Service will be Tuesday, May 15, 2018, 11:00 A.M. at First Baptist Church with Dr. Mike Sams and Rev. David Brown officiating.  Burial will follow in Cate Cemetery.  Visitation will be Monday, May 14, 2018, 4:00 P.M. - 7:00 P.M. at First Baptist Church or after 9:00 A.M. Tuesday at the church until service time.

Mrs. Cavin was preceded in death by her husband, Mr. Bomar Cavin; two sons, Tom Cavin and Larry Cavin;  her parents, Milan Norum and Mary Meyers Norum; one sister, Shirley Paschall; two brothers, Jack Norum and Donnie Norum.  She is survived by her daughter, Lynn (Bob) Hutchins of Arlington Heights, IL; sons, Ken (Sherry) Cavin of Martin and Don (Nancy) Schmidt of Springfield, MO; two sisters, Dorothy Lindquist of Elk Grove Village, IL and Joan Lindquist of Schaumburg, IL; 12 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren and one great great-grandchild.

Mrs. Cavin was a retired secretary for Eklind Tool Company in Chicago.  She was a member of First Baptist Church in Martin.
