Mrs. Constance Besmer (nee Collalto), age 86, died Monday, March 21, 2016, at Regional Hospital of Jackson with her son, Timothy, and daughter-in-law, Angie, at her side.
Funeral Mass will be on Tuesday, March 29, 2016, 10:30 A.M. at St. Edward's Catholic Church in Fulton, KY with Father Robert Drury officiating. Burial will follow in Pisgah Cemetery near Dresden. Visitation will be Monday, March 28, 2016, at Murphy Funeral Home from 5:00 P.M. - 8:00 P.M. with a Prayer Service and Rosaries beginning at 6:00 P.M. Visitation will resume at 9:30 A.M. on Tuesday at St. Edward's until time of Mass at 10:30 A.M.
Mrs. Besmer was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph John Besmer; her parents, Frank Collalto and Matilda Musano Collalto.
Mrs. Besmer retired from Sears-Roebuck Company. She was vice president of Besmer Machinery Repairs, Inc.. Mrs. Besmer also worked for Bendix Aviation of Teterboro, New Jersey during WW II, manufacturing parts for B-17 bombers. She was of the Roman Catholic Faith.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Timothy L. and Angie Besmer, Sr. of Medina, Tennessee; her daughter, Roberta West of Salt Lake City, Utah. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Andrew Besmer and his wife, Britney of Rock Hill, South Carolina. A granddaughter, Dahlia Marie Besmer and Timothy L. Besmer, Jr. of Charlotte, North Carolina. Other grandchildren include Sgt. Joseph Besmer of the U.S. Army, Benjamin Simpson of Salt Lake City, Utah and a granddaughter, Kim Marti of Avoca, Iowa. She is also survived by her step-grandsons, Ross and Ryan Hooper of Medina, Tennessee and five great-grandchildren all of whom she loved very much.
