Mrs. Betty Henson

Mrs. Betty Jean Henson, age 98, died Tuesday, February 28, 2017, at Maplewood Healthcare Care in Jackson, Tennessee.

Funeral Service will be Saturday, March 4, 2017, 2:00 P.M. at the First United Methodist Church in Martin with Rev. Randy Cooper officiating. Burial will follow in East Side Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the church beginning at 12:00 Noon until funeral time at 2:00.

Pallbearers will be James C. Henson II, Brad Childs, Christopher Good, Andy Elliott, Marty Elliott and Chris McDaniel.

Mrs. Henson was preceded in death by her husband, James C. Henson; her son, Larry Henson; her parents, Rev. A.C. Ball and Maude McCoy Ball; two brothers and three sister. She is survived by her son, Cary Henson of Jackson; five grandchildren, Bentlee (Christopher) Good of Jackson, Carrie Beth Henson of Nashville, Jimmy (Lauren) Henson of Jackson, Dustin Hickerson of California and Chris (Terri) Crider of Jackson; three great-grandchildren, Journee McDaniel, Jack Crider and Mary Margaret Crider; her nephew, Brad (June) Childs of Palmersville, Tennessee.

Mrs. Henson retired from the State of Tennessee where she worked as a Child Care Facility Inspector. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Martin.
