Modene Barnett

Mrs. Modene Puckett Barnett, age 91, died Thursday, May 1, 2014, at her residence.

Graveside service will be 1:00 P.M. on Saturday at East Side Cemetery.  Visitation will be Saturday at Murphy Funeral Home beginning at 11:00 A.M. 

Mrs. Barnett was preceded in death by husband, Charles (Shorty) Barnett; her son, Mike Barnett; her parents, L.E. and Clara Pinkston Puckett.  She is survived by her granddaughters, Kristy (Chris) Vincent of Martin and Alicia (Brian) Webb of Franklin, TN; three great-grandchildren, Jason Hicks, Baylor Webb and Brooks Webb; three step-great-grandchildren, Hunter Vincent, Macy Vincent and Makenzie Vincent.

Mrs. Barnett, along with her husband, owned and operated Puckett Lumber Company in Martin.  She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Martin.
