Mattie Shields

Mrs. Mattie Ferguson Shields, age 87, died Friday, 11/15/2013, at Volunteer Community Hospital in Martin.

Funeral service will be Sunday, November 17, 2013, at the Gardner Church of Christ. Burial will follow in Martin Memorials Gardens. Visitation will Saturday, November 16, 2013, at Murphy Funeral Home from 4:00 P.M. - 7:00 P.M., or after 1:00 P.M. at Gardner Church of Christ on Sunday.

Mrs. Shields was preceded in death by her husband, Connie Shields; her parents, Bruce Ferguson and Nora Sanders Ferguson; her brother, John William (Bill) Ferguson; her sister, Mary Belew. She is survived by her daughter, Linda Sheilds of Martin; her brother, James Bruce Ferguson; her sisters Marie Vicary and Maudie Fagan all of Martin.

Mrs. Shields was a retired caretaker and a member of Gardner Church of Christ in Martin.
