Mattie Monema Harding Hawks

Mrs. Mattie Monema Harding Hawks, age 89, of Sharon, TN, died Thursday, January 21, 2021, at Weakley County Nursing and Rehab Center in Dresden.

Funeral service will be Sunday, January 24, 2021, 2:00 P.M. at Murphy Funeral Home with Dr. Mike Sams and Rev. Tommy Harrison officiating.  Burial will follow in Tansil Cemetery in Sharon.  Visitation will be Sunday beginning at 12:00 Noon at the funeral home.

Mrs. Hawks was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Dayne Hawks; her parents, Hallet Harding and Gertie Peery Harding; sister, Dean Fisher; brother, Jack Harding.

Mrs. Hawks was a longtime employee of Martin Manufacturing Company.  She was a member of First Baptist Church in Martin.

Mrs. Hawks is survived by two sons, David (Katana) Hawks of Martin and Doug (Shana Doughty) Hawks of Sharon, Donna (Terry) Sturdivant of Sharon; six grandchildren, Terone Hawks, Selene Hawks, Alisse Hawks Kirk, Bryce Hawks, Cy Sturdivant and Travis Sturdivant; ten great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers the family request memorials to First Baptist Church Mission Fund or The Gideons International.
