Mary Hatchel

Mrs. Mary Workman Hatchel, age 93, died Sunday, April 20, 2014, at her residence.

Graveside service will be Tuesday, April 22, 2014, at 1:00 P.M. in East Side Cemetery.  Visitation will be Monday, April 21, 2014, at Murphy Funeral Home from 5:00 P.M. - 8:00 P.M., or after 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday.

Mrs. Hatchel was preceded in death by husband, Lee Amon Hatchel; her parents, James M. Workman and Celia Wilson Workman; brothers, Gilbert Workman and James Workman; sisters, Ruby Lee Gibbs, Isola Workman and Lina Nichols.  She is survived by her sons, Jimmy (Sherry) Hatchel and Johnny (Teresa) Hatchel both of Martin; daughter, Mary Sue Hatchel of Martin; brother, Carl (Carolyn) Workman of Martin; three grandchildren, Mark (Jennifer) Hatchel, David Hatchel and Jim Bell (Lindsay) Hatchel; one great-grandchild.

Mrs. Hatchel formerly worked at H.I.S. Company, Merritt Clothing Company and Guttman's Department Store.  She was a member of Matheny Grove Primative Baptist Church.
