Mary Clay Freeman

Mrs. Mary Freeman, age 94, died Tuesday, July 21, 2009, at Green Acres Nursing Home in Milledgeville, Georgia. Funeral service will be Saturday, July 25, 2009, at Murphy Funeral Home; 1:00 P.M. Burial will follow in Pisgah Cemetery in Dresden. Visitation will be Friday, July 24, 2009, from 4:00 P.M. - 8:00 P.M.

Mrs. Freeman was preceded in death by her husband, Alvin Woodrow Freeman. She is survived by her children; Pattie Bass of East Lansing, Mich., Leon (Lois) Freeman of Mokena, Ill., and Dorene (Larry) Ivy of Milledgeville, Georgia. Five grandchildren survive; Patricia (Gary) Latimore of DeWitt, Mich., Philip Bass of Oak Park, Ill., Krista (Nathan) Brouwer of Carterville, Ill., A.J. (Amy) Freeman of Sycamore, Ill., and Rob (Michelle) Manchester of Milledgeville, Georgia. Three great-grandchildren survive; Laura Garcia of DeWitt, Michigan. Jessica Heim-Brouwer of Carterville, Ill., and Emery Manchester of Milledgeville, Georgia. Mrs. Freeman was preceded in death by her parents, I.F. Gatewood and Ada Lamb Gatewood.

Mrs. Freeman retired from Martin Manufacturing Company in Martin. She was a member of Pisgah United Methodist Church.
