Martha Williams

Martha Dean Williams, 82, from Martin died Sunday, July 2, 2023, at Regency Memory Care in Jackson, TN after a long battle with Alzheimer's Disease. 

She was born to the late Johnny & Mary Stephens on October 13, 1940 in Mayfield, Kentucky.

She married Harold Williams on May 30, 1959.  She was a member and pianist at Bible Union Church in the Hyndsver Community.  She retired from the Martin Bank.

She is survived by her husband, Harold Williams, 85, of Martin; her sons and daughter-in-laws, Greg and Suzanne Williams of Lakeland, TN and Mike and Owessa Williams of Jackson, TN; her grandchildren, Amanda (Mandi) (Domonic) Polmon of Martin, Brittney Gosselin of Denham Springs, LA and Kendal (Adam) Martin of Bartlett, TN; great-grandchildren, Drew Polman and Asher Polman of Martin, Grey Gosselin and Kyler Lane Boothe both of Denham Springs, LA; sisters, Mary Francis Ramsey of Wingo, KY and Elizabeth (Butch) Sadler of Martin.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her brothers, Junior Stephens and Alan Stephens; one sister, Kay Brown.  They were all of Kentucky.

The family will receive friends at Murphy Funeral Home Wednesday, July 5, 2023, beginning at 9:30 until the hour of service at 11:00 A.M. with burial to follow at Little Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery in Wingo, Kentucky.  Dr. Mike Sams will conduct the services.

Pallbearers are Barry Odle, Terry Odle,  Adam Martin, Domonic Polman, Drew Polmon, Terry Marshall and Jamie Davis.  Honorary Pallbearer will be Jerry Davis.
