Mrs. Martha Jones Smothers, age 76, died Monday, 09/23/2013, at Volunteer Community Hospital in Martin.
Funeral service will be Friday, 09/27/2013, Sharon First Baptist Church at 11:00 A.M. Burial will follow in East Side Cemetery in Martin. Visitation will be Thursday, 09/26/2013, at Murphy Funeral Home from 5:00 P.M. - 8:00 P.M.
Mrs. Smothers is survived by her husband, Mr. James V. Smothers of Martin; her son, James Michael Smothers of Hickman, TN; her daughter, Kimberly Jean Becton of Union City; her brother, Bobby Joe Jones of Tiptonville, TN; four grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, J.C. Jones and Mammie Belle Searcy Jones; one brother, James Clyde Jones.
Mrs. Smothers was a Homemaker and a member of First Baptist Church in Sharon.
