Mark Baker

Mark Anthony Baker, age 59, died from injuries sustained in an automobile accident on September 1, 2018.

Born August 17, 1959 in Martin, Tennessee, Mark lived in Sharon while growing up and then moved to Sidonia with his wife Cindy in 1992.  Mark had one son, Eric Baker, and two granddaughters, Hanna Baker and Emily Baker, all of Sharon.  Mark worked at World Color in Dresden until 2001 and then spent the remainder of his time working for Tyson Foods in Union City.  He was a Captain on the Sharon Fire Department until he moved to Sidonia in 1992.  Mark was a member of Sharon Methodist Church in Sharon, Tennessee.

Survivors include wife, Cindy Baker of Sidonia; son, Eric Baker of Sharon; parents, Bobby and Ann Baker of Sharon; brother, Brian Baker of Milan; two granddaughters, Hanna and Emily Baker of Sharon.  Mark was preceded in death by a brother, Gregory; his grandparents, Lloyd and Flossie Stout and Roy and Zella Baker and Quitman Casey.

Visitation will be held on Friday, September 7, 2018, 4:00 P.M. - 7:00 P.M. at Murphy Funeral Home, 207 Central Ave., Martin, TN  38237.  Funeral service will be Saturday, September 8, 2018, 1:00 P.M. at the funeral home with Bro. Tim Spain officiating.  Burial will be immediately after the service on Saturday at Tansil Cemetery in Sharon.  After the burial relatives are welcome for time of visitation at Sharon Methodist Church.
