Malissa Weldon

Mrs. Malissa Phillips Weldon, age 88, died Monday at Martin Health Care. Funeral service will be Thursday, August 27, 2009, at Bible Union Baptist Church; 11:00 A.M. Burial will follow in East Side Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday, August 26, 2009, at Murphy Funeral Home; 5:00 P.M. - 8:00 P.M., or after 10:00 A.M. Thursday at Bible Union until funeral time at 11:00 A.M.

Mrs. Weldon was preceded in death by her husband, Hurshel Weldon. She is survived by her son, Jerry Rogers; daughter, Joyce Daughtery. She was preceded in death by parents, John Phillips and Flora Davis Phillips; sisters, Ruby Robertson and Linda Highfield; brother, Dolphus Phillips.

Mrs. Weldon was retired from Martin Manufacturing. She was a member of Bible Union Baptist Church.
