Louise Garner

Mrs. Louise Snider Garner, age 93, died Monday, 10/18/2010, at Van Ayer Manor Nursing Center in Martin.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, 10/20/2010, at Murphy Funeral Home; 2:00 P.M. Burial to follow in East Side Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday, 10/19/2010, at the funeral home from 5:00 P.M. - 8:00 P.M.

Mrs. Garner was preceded in death by her husband, Newman (Doc) Garner. She is survived by her daughter, Shirley Penick of Martin. Mrs. Garner was preceded in death by her parents, J.U. Snider and Ada Kimbro Snider; her brothers, Herman Snider, Chester Snider and Lester Snider; her sisters, Verna Jones, Ruby Miller, Eurene Houser, Modelle O'Conner and Urcell Snider. She is survived by grandchildren, Terry and Sandy Hicks, David and Diane Hicks, Joe and Karen Hicks and Cissy Mullins; eight great-grandchildren and nine great great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Garner formerly owned and operated the Vol Inn Cafe in Martin. She was a member at Oak Hill United Methodist Church in Martin.
