Loretta June Scott

Ms. Loretta June McWherter Scott, age 72, of Martin died Tuesday, 12/14/2010, at St. Thomas Hospice Center in Nashville.

Funeral services will be Friday, December 17, 2010, at Murphy Funeral Home; 1:00 P.M. Burial to follow in East Side Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday, December 16, 2010, at the funeral home; 5:00 P.M. - 8:00 P.M.

Ms. Scott was survived by her son, Thomas E. (Vicki) Scott, Jr. of Martin; her daughter, Theresia Busby of Martin; brothers, Charles McWherter and Donnie McWherter both of Martin; sisters, Yvonne Halcome of Ft. Mill, SC, Linda Gurley and Shelia McWherter both of Martin. She was preceded in death by sisters, Rachael Grinder, Anna Lou King and Betty Cox; parents, George Chester McWherter and Zela Brundige McWherter. She is survived by three grandchildren, Zac (Jenna) Scott, Mandy (Travis) Sturdivant and Tabitha Busby; two great-grandchildren, Lilly-Brooke Scott and Aiden Sturdivant.

Ms. Scott formerly worked for Henry I. Segiel Company and Martin Manufacturing Company. She was a member of Moore's Chapel Baptist Church in Greenfield, TN.
